Founded in 1991 in Geneva by Barbara Polla, Analix Forever is an extraordinary gallery, deploying its projects within its walls as well as abroad, favoring collaborations and co-collaborations with many actors of the world of art. The discovery and promotion of young creation are decisive, as well as the promotion of three preferred mediums: video, drawing and poetry - in particular when they are anchored in political issues and the depths of the soul.
FOREVER & EVERYWHERE
Unclassifiable, Barbara Polla has continued to multiply her activities during her career, always driven by her commitment to freedom, the springs of the psyche and her passion for living culture. Doctor by training, research director at Inserm (National Institute of Health and Medical Research) from 1992 to 1999, elected politician for more than ten years in her native country, Switzerland, author of numerous essays and novels, independent curator, she founded the Analix Forever gallery in her uncle's former chemical and criminological analysis laboratory. With the promotion of young creation for ambition, the first exhibitions of the gallery, noticed and relayed by the magazines Purple and Flashart, reveal artists then little known to the general public but today celebrated worldwide, such as Sarah Lucas, Tracey Emin and Maurizio Cattelan, or Vanessa Beecroft and Martin Creed.
Continuously integrating young artists, the gallery has been developing a nomadic program since 2011, notably in collaboration with Parisian galleries and institutions such as Magda Danysz and Topographie de l'Art. In love with videos, the Analix Forever gallery has been organizing video screening themed evenings since December 2011: VIDEO FOREVER. Created and hosted by Barbara Polla and Paul Ardenne, VIDEO FOREVER promotes encounters between artists, video specialists and audiences with an objective that is both academic and open.
